Winter
Skiing
Winter is the perfect season to try or practice your skills in randonnée, Alpine or cross-country skiing. There are no Alpine or randonnée skiing tracks on Malangen, so this will have to be off-piste (Please check the weather and avalanche conditions on Yr.no). However, thanks to its relative flatness, Malangen is a playground when it comes to cross-country skiing. We have as many as 3 major tracks, each of which including secondary loops and tracks.
Malangen resort offer guided tours on ski starting from the resort and close to the resort (not on the tracks aforementioned)
Snowshoeing
There are many snowshoeing opportunities on Malangen. You can either rent out snowshoes from local businesses and go on your own or you can also go on guided tours. Please take a look at the gallery on the left to see all snowshoeing offers. Click on each image to access the activity.
Northern Lights
Malangen is home to several northern lights experience providers. Far away from the light pollution of the city and taking advantage of a micro-climate, Malangen can be an ideal place to view the gorgeous aurora borealis from.
