Gammelstua at Elvestad farm
Elvestad is an authentic little farm located in the beautiful village of Kjerkevik. Here you will connect instantly with nature just by opening the door. Elvestad is surrounded by a deep forest that offers lovely and quiet walks, or you can go down to the sea which is five minutes away. The original farmhouse from 1926, called “Gammelstua” is neatly restored, and from the summer of 2025 it will be opened for accommodation. The house is unique, and you will get an original feeling of how people in Northern Norway lived at the time.
It has currently only one bed, but we can also arrange a matress to one person on the floor. This will fit perfectly for people looking for a writing-cabin or just a place to find some calm for a few days. The stair is steep, and the house doesn’t have a shower. Please contact us for more information before booking.
The owner Lill-Karin Elvestad, who is an historian and known for her good storytelling, also offers the history of Malangen and how people lived here, as an activity either you stay the night or not.

Morud
Located in Meistervik in the Troms region, Morud is an entire cabin operated by Malangen Arctic Experience / Staff Camping. The property features lake and garden views. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The apartment comes with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with streaming services, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace with sea views. Guests can take in the views of the mountain from the patio, which also has outdoor furniture. This apartment is allergy-free and non-smoking. There is a coffee shop on-site. Guests at the apartment will be able to enjoy activities in and around Meistervik, like hiking. Skiing, cycling and fishing are possible within the area, and Morud offers a private beach area.

Malangen Apartment is operated by Malangen Arctic Experience / Staff Camping and is set in Kjerkevik. It is a full house-like apartment that offers a garden and a shared lounge. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk and bicycle parking for guests. The spacious holiday home with a terrace and sea views features 3 bedrooms, a living room, a flat-screen TV, an equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower. Guests can take in the views of the mountain from the patio, which also has outdoor furniture. This holiday home is allergy-free and non-smoking. Finnvikhaugen Rooms
Finnvikhaugen Rooms is operated by Malangen Arctic Experience / Staff Camping. It is a house where clients can book individual rooms and it features a shared lounge, shared kitchen, shared bathroom, free bikes, shared garden. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen, a 24-hour front desk and organising tours for guests. At the inn, every room is equipped with a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, a shared bathroom, bed linen and towels. Each room is equipped with a coffee machine, while selected rooms have a patio and others also provide guests with sea views. All units will provide guests with a fridge. Guests at Finnvikhaugen Rooms will be able to enjoy activities in and around Meistervik, like hiking, skiing and fishing.

Malangen Arctic Experience
Staff camping operates through its company called 'Malangen Arctic Experience', a campsite with 140 permanent caravans. 10 guest spaces for campers. This year we started "Moillkoskafen" where we serve homemade traditional food, plus a little bit of everything. Cakes and sandwiches. We also offer accommodation for northern lights tourists, we have 19 beds, divided into 4 accommodation units. We have also built a sauna that is located right on the beach. We have also invested in dog sledding, we have 11 Alaska Husky that we will drive the northern lights tour with. We have also bought a 17-seater minibus, with space for 2 wheelchairs.
