Run Wild Mushing
Welcome to the heart of the Arctic and let’s Run Wild together! Here at Run Wild Mushing, we embrace the authenticity of dog mushing, and when you visit us, you will meet the descendant dogs from the great explorers and expeditioners. We will do our very best to give you the feeling and experience of exploration and the strong bond we get with our dogs when we work together. We are located in the secluded and quiet valley between Fjellbygda and the fjord in Malangen. Our tours are intimate and small groups only, which let us focus more on your experience and our dogs’ enjoyment. Here, you will be introduced to our 36 family members of all ages, and you will get to see them run free in our large fenced in area, as well as to help setting up your very own team. We have several options for sledding, and we can arrange both shorter (30 min trips) and everything up to 6 days expeditions in the high mountains. Our dogs are easy going and well trained, and you will get the chance to sled with some of our top race dogs! Many of our dogs are participating on a high level in some of the most prestigious long-distance races in Europe.

Seaside Experience
Seaside Experience is a newly established family company located in Northern Malangen. We both have extensive guiding and mushing experience in the Arctic Norway. Vilma is a certified Arctic Nature Guide and offshore sailor, while Tony is a barefoot Norwegian with a lifelong experience of Norwegian fjords and mountains. We offer authentic Finnish sauna retreats, tailor-made nature experiences, and easy to intermediate ski touring trips. CULTURE
Mortenhals Gård
Mortenhals Gård is a old farm and trading place from the years 1700. It is run by the 5th generation of Kristoffersens. The farm offers visits of the old store “Gammelbutikken”, a travel back in time to the 18th century, where you can learn how Norwegian people used to live and work. Our farm also offers great hiking (summer-Fall) and snowshoes (winter/spring) experiences, as well as making a bonfire, eating good local food, looking for animal track and the northern lights. We customize the experience based on your private group request, so e-mail us and we promise to make your experience unforgettable. We also arrange different activities such as Christmas markets, so follow us for more information. If you want to explore the area by yourself we rent out, e-bikes, snowshoes, spikes for shoes, sledge, headlamp etc. (See below). Please contact us to book any of the items or activities we offer. Northern Lights chasing tours - night photography workshops - aurora courses.
With his 10+ years of chasing auroras in many countries and his scientific background, Adrien of Night Lights leads private aurora chasing tours, aurora chasing courses and night photography workshops for people with their own means of transportation.
Northern Lights tours are 6-hour, private, flexible and especially tailored to experience the aurora. The aurora chasing courses are advanced education about the science behind the aurora and how to chase it using the best tools. Courses can be arranged on location or taken via zoom. Workshops are about the same as the tours but focused on astrophotography.

Storhaugen Gård
Located at the foothill of the towering Kvannfjellet, Storhaugen has been a family run farm since 1960. What started with only a few animals has now become home to around 120 goats, a small cheese production and a charming little farm shop. There you can find feta cheese, halloumi, cream cheese and traditional Norwegian gomme. We also make dried sausages, jam and jelly, also usually accompanied by other seasonal products and crafts. In the summer season you can grab our famous cinnamon rolls and focaccia, all freshly baked. In the winter season they are kept frozen in our store. Please note that due to health and safety regulation the milking barn is not open to the public. Welcome to our little shop!
The farm shop is open 24/7 with vips payment.

I live on my childhood farm at Kraksletta on the Malangshalvøya, about 4 miles from Tromsø via Ryatunellen. I have worked as a chef all my life and am very keen to preserve our food traditions and take care of our cultural heritage. Here we have both a horticulture and a great production room that contains a wonderful kitchen with a farm shop/café and lavvu on the farm.On the green line, summer flowers and herb plants of the highest quality are produced for sale in season. Otherwise, both herbs, berries and vegetables are produced for further processing. In the kitchen, a number of traditional baked goods are produced in the form of several types of lefse and bread, but also other products made from good old, venerable recipes that are used again. The farm has all rights and serves both local food and drink.

Malangen Resort - Marmælen
We want our guests to experience the best local and authentic food. To achieve this, the menu at Malangen Resort is inspired by the traditional north Norwegian cuisine. To ensure we serve our guests food that is as fresh as possible, we prioritise using locally sourced ingredients and products in all our dishes.
Given our proximity to the sea, many of our dishes are sourced from nearby fjords, as the natives of the north have done for thousands of years. We also serve other typically north Norwegian delicacies such as reindeer and lamb from the local area.

You get to enjoy the meal in an historical environment in our 'Gammelbutikken' (old store), which is furnished just like it was in the early 20th century. Cosy and traditional experience guaranteed! The restaurant only takes reservations (no drop-ins).
